- Slept in ants hall for about 3-4 hours

- Got totally wet for about 4 times. Wet then dry then wet then dry then wet then dry then wet then dry

- Soles of my left shoe came out. The whole sole! so basically my shoe had no base. Masking taped it back. Thankfully the right one was okay.

Here goes: Yesterday saw a hopeful me weaving through the crowds of suntec bubbling with excitement. About five thousand amplifiers ringing in my ear my ear actually bled i am not kidding. I was going for HP all the way until i saw this

Screen length wider than 13 inches because I am blind. Check.
1188 within my very low budget (i am paying not my dad!!). Check.

Nice keyboard. White easily dirtied but i bought a protective film if it still gets dirty i don't know what i will do but HECK IT CHECK.

The omg servicer asked that i bring it to Funan for repair. Uh, i just bought it 2 hours ago. What a world. I was pissed off to ttm i lugged the Bimbotic laptop all the way to city hall (i don't have a car okay this is how poor i am please feed me sushi would be nice) and squeezed through about five thousand people and I asked that they give me a new set. I banged the table a few times to show how angry i am >:(

Manager: "Sorry but the pink laptops are currently out of stock so can i trouble you to make a trip here again tomorrow to collect it with your invoice?"

OH MY GOD. YOU KNOW WHAT. CASPER. ACTUALLY. YOU CAN'T. YOU CAN'T TROUBLE ME TO MAKE A TRIP HERE. BECAUSE I AM SO FREAKING POOR I DON'T OWN A CAR. I TRAVEL BY TRAIN. AND WALK BY FOOT ACROSS THE FIVE THOUSAND ESCALATORS AND TRAVELATORS AT DBG STATION AND ACROSS VERY CROWDED AND PSYCHOTIC CITYLINK. AND ON TOP OF IT. I LIVE IN SENGKANG EAST WAY.

Alternatively i could always buy another color like black or turq (looks at yoji) but then because i wanted the pink one badly enough...i decided that this casper guy could actually trouble me to visit the PC fair again TODAY.

So today after my project i took 518 to Suntec Convention Center and went up five thousand escalators before i reached the exhibition hall and i must have weaved through a million crimewatch people before i reached the fujitsu booth i don't even know why are those crimewatch people doing there.

By the time i reached the fujitsu section i was so pissed i told the Casper guy

"So like. Are you sure this new set's going to be okay? I am a new consumer of fujitsu and i must tell you that I am very, very disappointed in your product quality and service. I live at the other end of the island and i made like what, three trips here just to collect a laptop because apparently your QC checks were fail? and fyi i am actually expecting some form of compensation."

The two guys then took a very long time to set up my bimbotic laptop, after which they tried to offer me some mineral water and tried to make small talk with me thinking that it would appease me? They started to ask why i chose to study in TP when i live in Sengkang and stuff... i ignored most of the questions. Suddenly the manager started to talk about his girlfriend and tried to engage me in the conversation..........

Stop it already. Want to appease me? Give me free stuff. Because I am a sucker for freebies and i would so shamelessly admit that I am. Thumbdrive mouse micosoft software whatever just give me okay blackberry would be nice i know blackberry isn't under fujitsu or anything but i don't really care oh yeah a SAKAE sushi voucher would do just fine too.

Of all the colors and after switching about five thousand favourite colors i think my best color still got to be black. Today on the way to school i thought about why I like black. Here's why:

We had a POM paper on monday with a lot of familiar names like Tin Tin and Albert. I am not sure how i would fare for POM because I didn't do my best. After POM paper i went for TPSU interview i spent half my life preparing for.

Somehow in a way Monday turned out to be a really bad day. I only went to school today because Bryan said he is going to buy hiphop jelly for me since i was very sian on Monday. NO LA. I obviously went because there is mid sem test.

But today was better. Today we ate two hiphop jellies each. Bryan bought me the first. Hip hop jelly can fight bad days. Then after Macro test i bought him a hip hop jelly to thank him for the first hip hop jelly. We ate hip hop jelly and spotted hip hop jellies in school and on the streets.

Today Alan and Clement were also introduced to hip hop jellies. Alan said "Like eating your own tongue" until damn serious. Clement's very delighted face and the wobbly hip hop jelly. Bryan tried to sneak into library pretending hip hop jelly was his tongue. Actually he didn't. Almost. No la.

That day when i went home i collapsed on the bed at 7+pm and woke up at 3am to chiong POM. How healthy right!

Joyce is done with the first month of freshman year and she is half dead! In this one month i spoke a lot in chinese/hokkien + ate western food ten thousand times + laughed a lot + said NO LA/ sian / cui / ttm a gazillion times + got captured on a thousand unglam cui pictures e.g looked like a maid looked shocked looked retarded looked rough looked nothing like a girl (see above) and now i have no image! No image at all! But i had tons of fun being myself so everything else is secondary.

Because today i have discovered i have so much more to live for and that if i don't let you go, nobody's gonna come in and nothing is going to change. For 10 whole months i led my life like it isn't mine. Getting over you has unknowingly become a part of my life. I don't know if i can ever get over getting over you but I will try and help myself. There is a ghost of my past which had robbed me of all my faith and courage to start something that would probably end.

First and foremost HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEN YU! I know your gift was so last minute and cheap and very cui and kns and sian ji bua and sian ga liao and sgls. This is so cliche man, but i hope you had a happy birthday. This week has been a long and eventful one. Full of crap, jokes, pissed-off times, accidental or delibrate clashes of shirt color, unlucky times, and duh.... MMS-es. And this week i had mastered the technique of reacting to yoji's surprise snapshot ( rolls eyes ) so he wouldn't capture another Maid photo of mine..

English cannot express my love for fridays....... but that was when projects didn't flood me yet.

BEFORE I START ON THE GREAT FRIDAY I HAD.... let me say this again that i spent 2-3 working days on this blog entry so a lot of stuff went into this entry.. photos, videos, coffee, yawns, complaints, tears (because i stared at the screen for so long my eyes cui ttm), time and effort. SO READ THIS WITH EVEN MORE CARE THAN HOW YOU READ VINCENT'S TEETHBRUSH.

This update isn't exactly long but it took me years to organise the pictures into chronological order and stuff and my copy/cut/paste feature was down... so i had to either shift by html or drag manually. And being the HTML idiot that i am, i dragged the pictures manually.... the intervals were so long i could actually sleep while dragging. AND THE COMPUTER WAS LAGGING. Not that i didn't try to do it by HTML now when i close my eyes i see a lot of html codes zzzzzzz

either way, i know you are not very interested to hear me complain. so here is what i have been up to in school before friday:

Went to eat at ITAS and i didn't liked the food. Jinxed throughout lunch. We found a file and we brought it to the General Office! We also kept singing Shuo hao de xing fu ne. There is a game for it too which is inspired by tokeenoko tokeenoko nokeekee (?!) Don't even know how to spell the name of the game. Shameful right..

After Yoji and Vincent went to CGH for Yoji's appointment, Blood and I decided to go to some say t1 some say tm some say batam to shop for mother's day present. The bus stop was crowded and the sun was scorching hot so we just boarded whatever bus that has space. And we boarded 69 assuming that it goes to tampines? Stupid to the max. and we got ferried to Bedok. Had to call Vincent and then Yoji (called Yoji cause we didn't trust Vincent HAHAHA)to ask for directions. Had to take a train to tampines again. Shameful right.....confirm shameful.

happiness is really short lived

the first week of freshman year was an awesome one. it has only been a short two days into week 2 and there is nothing i wouldn't give to be back in IJ. I am getting a little sick of the whole tertiary-student deal.

in fact i am nothing short of sick. i have cough flu sore throat stomach cramps dizzy spells and on monday i even alighted the bus at some secluded area of tampines to throw up. i dare not even go home because it doesn't help that my dad would just assume that i'm trying to skip school. so i force myself to go to school no matter how agonising the long ride there would be. how pathetic, right?

i hope genelle and i get well soon so we can crap to the max and eat all the western food we want.

Yesterday was a mighty day. Except the FB FUN lecture which really pissed me off. I am going to die. Day ended at 1. Fixation fixation! Went to catch 17 again with Genelle Yoji Vincent Michele and Jasper. Overrated! I think Zac Efron was the only great thing about the movie. And I am not a fan of Zac Efron. Vincent kept laughing and the spiked up hair kept jerking in front of my sight. It was quite amusing. There were many collective swoons when they do close ups on Zac Efron. Someone save me.

It has been a good week in school. Thank you Lord for the good week and the wonderful people you have blessed me with. I probably should do good deeds more often. The first good deed i did this week was giving up my seat to an old lady on 27. Very not my kind of behaviour.... I know right. If 'feeling bad' is considered a good deed then that makes two good deeds.

I must do more to be nice. I must..

1. Stop judging, seriously. OMG JOYCE STOP JUDGING MAN THIS IS NOT SJC.
2. Dont be so obvious to perv.
3. Be like really, really accepting. Whoever. Perv. Panty. Whatever.
4. Get used to my classmates calling me joyce.
5. Eat from Bizpark. Haven't ate from it at all this whole week.

In short my resolution for week 2 of freshman year is "Do more to be nice". I am going to record the number of nice things I do in my phone and hopefully it exceeds ten. Then for week three I will do twenty. Week four thirty. You can't get used to me being like that? Don't worry, I can't either.

It has almost been one week since orientation started, and school is still getting better by day. It has been long since I had happy days with happy people. I am so thankful I didn't kill myself last year. Temasek. What a happy school what a happy HTM what happy class what a happy me!

Today is one great day. Germaine crashed our INTHT lecture. Yoji Mich Gen Casper and I had a lot of fun talking about perv and spotting weird people in the LT with ridiculous specs and watching the b slouch on the LT chair til her body is perpendicular to her legs HAHAHA laugh until die.

Gen and I are predicting that there will be a fire drill tomorrow ^^ Psychic psychic im gonna wear firedrill-friendly clothes. I cannot stop laughing at "go NS sure die"

I got fixation again today! Fixation fixation fixation. Fixation is off on tuesday so tuesday shall be my cui day my big shirt + fbt day.

seMy first day of school was superb.

There came a new guy today named Bryan. Ice Hawk. He wasn't with us throughout orientation cause he went for cheerleading. Very pretty eyelashes. I asked if he uses Mascara. Haha. I am going to call him Mascara from now on. We had a color code to wear white today. I didn't expect many to follow but it turned out that the whole 07 went to school in white! (Except for Genelle! Genelle why you like that!!) So we took a picture together. We went to Macdonalds to have lunch/brunch together and there was like another mini-orientation going on for Mascara because he is new.

That aside, I hate RHT lectures. Today was a long and tiring day but I am really happy because today I got my weekly fixation of candy ^^

Edit: Ice hawk isn't that much of a big deal after all. I hope he doesn't google "ice hawk" and finds my blog :/

S you told me to move on so I'll move on. I hope my new environment will help me get closure. I am starting to breathe a little but i wodner if it is only because I am hyped by new people who take me out of my world for a while. I hope I will not have to go back again.

Meanwhile I am living this freedom, I am living it so happily. It feels so good to be free from you. I want to be free from you everyday. Or could this only be momentary bliss before i revert to my default mode?

I cannot quit counting the days since you left. I cannot tell anybody confidently that I have gotten over you. Because getting over you has become a part of my life. Temasek is amazing! I think I just had the amazing orientation ever! I am a little moody that it has already ended :( No more mmy :( I would sit on muddy ground near Bedok Reservoir or sit on the hot track without complaint to relieve the whole experience again! TP Business School won for the fifth consecutive year! BIZ BIZ BIZ BIZ NESS !!

Plus I think my ten notes to myself in the prev post worked! I made friends! Genelle who likes McFly too, Michelle who watches Ping Pang Yuan, Szehui Siewhui who keeps hanging out together i have trouble with their names, Weeting and her bridal matric photo, Joe = Laughing Buddha hahahaha and the very ungentlemanly guys in our class who kena a lot of high pitch+loud scolding from Szehui (or was it Siewhui? lol), SLs Jasmine 0007 (?!) and Natasha who were ex 1H07s!

In short, I believe the Week 0 Orientation was really awesome. Temasek's orien can own IJ St Joseph's one easily! Wow what an upbeat post right here at this site. Has been long. Actually, I am also beginning to think that there is nothing wrong with being upbeat.

6. Try not to make unnecessary comments.

7. Don't complain. Complaining irritates people.

8. Try not to make jokes that only Rowena gets.

Yesterday I was bored so I decided to use some pentel paint to do a draft on a pair of unwanted shoes. It didn't really turn out as well as I had expected it to be. I hope it is only because I didn't use fabric paint.

My dad pretended to throw up before i even completed painting (what a turn off!) and my mum made a face. Actually i painted over my sister's drawing of a tattoo on it. So comparisons are easily made when they have seen my sister's art. And then mine. No contest at all. I'll bet they thought i ruined a pair of perfectly fine shoes.

So today saw a very distraught me showing the shoes to Isaac hoping to fish an "okay" out of him since he is usually open to stuff like that. And then i got

"You paint one ah? Okay then i advise you to stop at the draft and quit painting. "

Then i thought maybe he didn't know what i was drawing, and that if i told him he might appreciate it. I got more than what i bargained for.

"Do you even know what i am trying to paint?"

"Nooooo its the UK"

Two years ago i received my first history assignment when i began my Elective. We were supposed to design the cover and back pages of the history jotter book. I remember spending hours on it. I designed it like a specimen of newspapers from the Japanese occupation. So I did research from the net and from my lower secondary textbooks, and i wrote 5 long kickass articles on it, googled and printed pictures from the 1940s. I did all i could to make it look like a specimen newspaper from the jap occ, i lit a candle at around 1 am and burnt the edges of the papers and the middle to make it look old. Then i wrapped it in PVC. I went to sleep at 3am a very happy history elective student even though i had other homework incomplete.

The next day I woke up at 6am went to school and i found out that my classmates just printed stuff from the internet and pasted it on top. It dawned on me that I could have taken it less seriously. Nonetheless I was proud of my work.

About three days later we were graded. I found out that some of my classmates got full marks even when it was obvious that they didn't put in as much effort as I did. So i expected a 10/10 too because I probably worked thrice as hard as they did, and i think my work showed it. I admit i was a tad arrogant.

Turned out i got a 7/10.

What the fuck? I immediately sian diao. Why am i not rewarded? My first elective assignment taught me that hard work is overrated. From that day onwards, i hesitate to give my all for whatever assignment.

Not a good friday at all. I spent today with my family and watching the rain droplets trickle down the window pane from my apartment and from the buses i boarded. As I watch I wonder if you remembered what you did exactly one year ago, I wonder if you remember bringing a huge sunflower to my place because I was sick. I kept the dried petals all these while. What a pathetic soul

I wonder about the change in me. And suddenly for a moment I just wanted to alight, go home, leave the door open, stay in all day and wait for you to come and want me back.

And even if you wouldn't come I didnt think that would be a wrong move because I have gotten used to making a lot of wrong moves.

It is a rainy, rainy monday. I got a haircut to start the week. The hairdresser asked if I would like to borrow an umbrella to go with the said weather because I didn't have one. I said it was okay. So I walked home in the pouring rain with a new haircut.

I wonder how people can still be nice to each other in a world like that. I can't. For starters, I hate and get pissed off by almost everything and anything. I would have been ashamed to accept the kind gestures they offer.

just as i thought i was done with gossip girl i found out that i didn't watch 2 episodes and now i have to rewatch the whole season to watch the last two episodes because i had already forgotten the story except that i really hate that dan humphrey dam humphrey dude oh my god i know i always have a choice to not watch but i don't think i can ever do that oh my god i hate this

i also hate people who pretend to be all environmental-friendly because they think that "Save earth!" is a cool thing to say everywhere they go when they actually use a lot of plastic bags. Can't people just genuinely conserve in silence?

When I was younger, i wanted to be an adult. I was eager to buy our stuff, receive my own phone calls and letters in the mailbox, own a cell phone, I also wished my parents would knock before they enter my room so i could have a little privacy.

About 8 years fly and suddenly I have the power to handle things like a grown up, but now I yearn to be a child again. Then I would never have to worry about family, school work, deadlines, money, relationships, or what tomorrow may bring, i think i would be easily contented with the littlest things.

About 3 months ago my best friend bought me this ( & the olive one which i have not started using yet! )

Which i haven't got the time to use ( i love to sound busy and important when actually all i do is idle at home ) til yesterday! It was awesome and totally made my day! I love stuff like that. I remember when I was way younger my mother bought me this:

This is one shampoo i would never forget in my entire life. I loved it to the max because the package was pink and it really had a smoothie scent so great that I actually went to taste it. Then i told my sister with such pride that i tasted the shampoo. Gah, no it didn't taste like strawberry. Not at all.

But after like 3 days the shampoo gave me a scalp condition. I was so sad because I had to revert to using this:
which i really, really, really hated. Because they are really boring and had the mediocre shampoo smell. Ack, not appealing at all.

So now i am over the whole L'oreal kids smoothie crap and am officially a convert to the Body shop shower gel!
